Happy Birthday Allison!

So a  couple weeks ago we celebrated Allison’s 30th birthday... first with a low key family celebration on the grandparent’s patio, then a few days later with a SURPRISE girls-only gathering at Cracker Barrel… sisters, cousins, cousins-in-law, aunts, Mom, and Nanny. We were quite the party. J Here is the initial surprise…

And this is all of us!

I (Lana) wanted to do something out of the ordinary for her this year, and with the help of my mom, my fabulous Aunt LaLinda, and my cousin Beka (photos courtesy of her, by the way!) we managed to pull it off. J

We had so much fun celebrating together, and we’re so grateful for someone like Allie to celebrate! She is a fantabulous sister (daughter, cousin, etc…) and I’m so thankful for all the fun sister memories we’ve made over the years! Late night talk-fests, shopping expeditions, heart-to-hearts, silly notes and letters, the occasional practical joke, learning to sing in harmony while washing dishes (our deepest apologies to the rest of the family!), the prestigious “National Honesty Week” club (more info available upon request), and 101 other things. We love you, Allie!

  4. Ok, so since y'all asked...the "National Honesty Week" came about in the Wilson girls' bedroom several years ago, when one or the other of us (can't remember who!) was having an uncommon amount of difficulty deciding on an outfit. And did NOT want a "nice, but slightly untrue answer" to the How-does-this-look question. So she said, "Is this National Honesty Week?? Good. WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THIS OUTFIT???" And thus it began. National Honesty Week has never ended :) Anyone needing a brutally honest opinion on anything just declares it to be NH Week to make sure they get an unbiased answer ;)

  5. LOVE IT!!! This is an amazingly genius idea! Gotta try this... Although I *usually* don't have any trouble telling my family what I think about their clothes...But that's just me. HAha!
